Open Water 22nd JuneThanks for all clubs that attended this schedule Open Water event. Due to bad weather conditions, entry into the water was deemed too severe. The SW high wind conditions made it impossible for safety craft (surf skis and canoes) to enter. Though the water seemed relatively flat, the strong winds (35-59mph - Mett Office figures) would be blowing from on-shore making craft positioning very difficult. On the beach saw extreme sand conditions. However, a coffee and sandwich was enjoyed by those with a packed lunch!
